"Soul Talk for Entrepreneurs"
Be inspired to face fears, embrace uncertainty, conquer overwhelm and learn to love your weaknesses.

Jayme Goffin knew from a very young age that a 9-5 job would never suit me.  I’ve had several businesses - including a wholesale folk art business, and a primitive curtain valance business - where I had a few employees, and sold my goods across the country.  I feel like I finally found my niche with marshmallows.

The event will include a one-hour presentation followed by time to eat, drink, network and get to know each other better.

"Your Next Great Idea" - CANCELLED

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

Found and Shared brings you Madeline Henry of Madeline Makes for our monthly meetup series. Join us at Cafe Borgia as Madeline presents:

"Your Next Great Idea"
Creativity works in mysterious and unusual ways. Creativity has been studied by hundreds of scientists all over the world and is still a subject of great inquiry. Acknowledging these actions and keeping them forefront should be a continued undertaking in living a creative life. Although making art is creative, actively living a creative life and always listening to your creative muse will open your mind to boundless ideas. In this seminar, we will journey through several exercises and engage in thoughtful dialogue to help creatives to fully engage their own creative muse to further enhance their inspired life.

Madeline Henry is a Chicago area artist working in multiple mediums but concentrates mostly on
ceramics. Originally, she worked in commercial architecture but found that making her own unique creations was more appealing. After obtaining a kiln and other tools for ceramics, she moved from her crowded kitchen to a juried artist with a studio space at Union Street Gallery. Madeline’s evolution from a kitchen table artist to an exhibiting artist, juror and curator evolved further through her interactions and positions at Union Street Gallery. Madeline also had several handmade products that were sold through retail stores and online retailers. Madeline is currently working on obtaining her Master of Fine Art, concentrating on Ceramics while doing research on creativity.

The event will include a one-hour presentation along with dinner and wine. There is an *additional fee for members to cover the cost of the meal. Dinner will include a choice of one pasta dish and one glass of wine (or up to 4 sodas or specialty coffee), price includes meal, tax & tip.

Price:

Candlelight Yoga Mix Class - CANCELLED

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

Join Found and Shared for a 60 minute all levels Candlelight Yoga Mix Class at Now Yoga Club.
Our instructor for the evening will be Sarah Johnson.

Sarah Johnson began her practice to add variety to her workout.  It didn’t take long, however, for her to realize that yoga offers much more than physical fitness; yoga opened Sarah to a more balanced, mindful lifestyle, and she has never looked back.  After a few years of practicing, Sarah traveled to Costa Rica to complete her 200-hour teacher training in the traditional eight-limbed path of Ashtanga yoga including Hatha flow, vinyasa flow, Pranayama, and meditation.  Although she began her part-time yoga business around teaching and coaching, after the birth of her daughter, Sarah finalized her decision to leave her career as a middle school teacher to pursue her dream of opening Now Yoga Club & Community Center.  Starting the Grimmer Yoga Club with her amazing students and teacher friends back in 2015 led her to realize this dream today, and she’ll always be grateful.

Sarah feels it is truly a privilege to share the power of the mind-body connection, the value of presence and acceptance on and off the mat, and the importance of self-care.  She is so pleased to share her passion for yoga and mindfulness with yogis of all ages and abilities. Namaste!

We will enjoy a class together and then there will be an opportunity to network and chat after the class. Light refreshments will be served after class.

”Stop Apologizing & Start Thinking”

Found and Shared brings you Katie Reinschreiber Sannito, The Gourmet Goddess for our monthly meetup series. Join us at Rooms4kids of Crown Point as Katie presents:

”Stop Apologizing & Start Thinking”
Do you find yourself over apologizing?  Saying "I'm sorry" for almost anything that isn't going quite right, but is it what you truly mean to say?  Chronic apologizing is something that plagues many people, but women especially tend to carry this burden more heavily.  Let's talk about what saying "I'm sorry" really means and the message it sends to others when there really is nothing to be apologizing for.  Then, let's focus on what to say instead of I'm sorry that actually expresses gratitude and appreciation for others that you interact with both personally and professionally. When we communicate from a more positive perspective and do not undermine our own message, deeper, stronger relationships can be created.

Katie Sannito, The Gourmet Goddess, specializes in preparing gourmet food and providing first class service to help her clients effortlessly and elegantly entertain in their home or small business. Prior to starting her business in September of 2012, Katie was an account manager in the healthcare industry for 12 years honing essential client relationship and project management skills that have been a crucial element in growing her business. In addition to cooking for clients, her artisan biscotti can be found in several local specialty shops and boutiques in Northwest Indiana and some Chicago suburbs. She recently kicked off a series of workshops to share the art of building a gorgeous cheese board. Katie lives in Munster with her husband Tom (also affectionately called Mr. Goddess) and her 10-year-old son, Anthony.

The event will include a one-hour presentation followed by time to shop, network and get to know each other better. Light refreshments will be served.

*Strategies to cook more and stress less
*Tools to make meal planning and prep faster and more efficient
*Suggestions for dealing with difficult eaters
And more!

Found & Shared @ The Indiana Welcome Center

Jacqueline Fisch is a writer and writing coach for business owners who want to sound human and sell more (because humans buy from humans). She helps them ditch the jargon so they can relate to and connect with their perfect clients using engaging online copy that sells.

Writing about yourself is hard.

Imagine:
A few killer sentences that sum up exactly who you are and what you make.
A bio that stands tall, like you. A bio that boldly states what you stand for.
Social media profiles that stand out, and sales emails that connect with your customer—and sells!
A website that shows off your talent.

This Web Writing Workshop, will be a time of real website writing for makers and creators who love their craft, but don’t know how to talk about it.

WHAT WE'LL DO:
Get clear - on who you are and why you do this work. What lights you up and what makes you angry. How you want people to FEEL when they read your website.
Get creative - With all the creative minds in the room, you’re going to get some juicy words.
Get inspired - With writing prompts to get your writing to flow. With manifesto ideas that make you scream, HELL YES!
Get comfortable with being uncomfortable. We’re going to push edges a little. It will be hard, but it will be worth it.

Join me as I welcome Jacq to the Found & Shared Tribe as a guest speaker for this exciting workshop.

nibbles, coffee & tea will be provided
